SmartXcel is designed to work with Excel for Windows Desktop. It may not be compatible with other versions or platforms.
Is my data secure when using SmartXcel?
SmartXcel uses the OpenAI API to generate text completions, and your data is sent securely to their servers. I recommend you review OpenAI’s privacy policy for more information on how your data is handled.
Is the API Key Secure When Using SmartXcel?
Yes, the API key inputted through the SmartXcel add-in will be saved on your computer and is secure.
How do I set up and use SmartXcel?
After downloading the add-in, follow the installation instructions provided in my YouTube tutorial video (LINK COMMING SOON). Once installed, you’ll need to sign up for an OpenAI API key and input it into the add-in. Then, simply select a cell or range of cells and click the button in the add-in.
Is SmartXcel really free?
Yes, SmartXcel is completely free to use. However, you will need an OpenAI API key, which may have associated costs. The add-in uses the gpt-3.5-turbo model from OpenAI, and the cost for using this model is $0.002 per 1K tokens. Visit https://openai.com/pricing for more information on OpenAI API costs.
