Getting started

Install the add-in in desktop Excel on Windows, then try one emoji in a blank workbook.

The video shows the installation and first use.

1. Extract the download and keep Emojify.xlam in a permanent folder. Excel will load the add-in from that location.
2. On Windows, close Excel. Right-click the downloaded add-in, choose Properties, and select Unblock if that option appears. Only unblock the file you downloaded from Python & VBA.
3. Open desktop Excel and go to File > Options > Add-ins. Choose Excel Add-ins beside Manage, then click Go.
4. Click Browse, select Emojify.xlam, and leave its checkbox selected before clicking OK.

Insert your first emoji #

1. Select a cell in your worksheet.
2. Open the Emojify ribbon tab and click an emoji.
3. The emoji appears as an image. Use Settings on the Emojify tab to change its placement, or drag and resize the inserted image.
