Update the Emojify Add-In to the Latest Version

Replace the installed Emojify.xlam file with the newer release. Save your work and note any settings you want to check afterward.

Download the update for Emojify and extract the ZIP file.
In Excel, open File > Options > Add-ins. Select the installed Emojify entry and note its location.
Beside Manage, select Excel Add-ins and click Go. Clear the Emojify checkbox and click OK, then close all Excel windows.
Right-click the new Emojify.xlam file and choose Properties. If Unblock is shown, select it and click Apply.
Copy the new file into the installation folder you noted, replacing the old add-in file.
Reopen Excel and return to Excel Add-ins. Select Emojify again. If it is not listed, click Browse and select the updated file.
Check that the Emojify ribbon tab appears, then review your settings and try a small example.

Keep your custom-icon folder when replacing the add-in file. You are replacing Emojify.xlam, not the folder containing your own images.

If the buttons do not respond after updating, follow the installation guide to check that the new file is unblocked and loaded.
