Update SimpleGantt

Replace the installed SimpleGantt.xlam file with the newer release. Save your work and note any settings you want to check afterward.

Update on Windows #

1. Download the update for SimpleGantt and extract the ZIP file.
2. In Excel, open File > Options > Add-ins. Select the installed SimpleGantt entry and note its location.
3. Beside Manage, select Excel Add-ins and click Go. Clear the SimpleGantt checkbox and click OK, then close all Excel windows.
4. Right-click the new SimpleGantt.xlam file and choose Properties. If Unblock is shown, select it and click Apply.
5. Copy the new file into the installation folder you noted, replacing the old add-in file.
6. Reopen Excel and return to Excel Add-ins. Select SimpleGantt again. If it is not listed, click Browse and select the updated file.
7. Check that the SimpleGantt ribbon tab appears, then review your settings and try a small example.

If the buttons do not respond after updating, follow the installation guide to check that the new file is unblocked and loaded.

Update on macOS #

Open Tools > Excel Add-ins and uncheck SimpleGantt. Quit Excel, replace the installed SimpleGantt.xlam with the extracted update, then reopen Excel and enable it again in the same dialog. Use Browse if the file location changed.
