Open Excel2PPT > Settings to choose where your setup rows will be exported.
Create a new presentation #
Choose a new presentation and set the output name and folder. Under More options, choose Blank, Title only, Title and content or Title slide as the slide layout.
Use a template #
Select your PowerPoint template file in Settings. Prepare the layouts and text placeholders in that file, then export your setup rows. Excel2PPT preserves the source file and writes a separate output presentation.
New and template exports use a unique output filename, so an existing file with the same name is not overwritten. You can choose whether to open the completed result.
Update the active presentation #
Open an editable presentation in PowerPoint, then choose Active presentation in Settings. The destination slides must already exist. Excel2PPT changes that open deck directly and leaves it open. Review and save it yourself in PowerPoint.
On the same destination slide, exporting an object again replaces the object previously tagged for that mapping after the new paste succeeds. Moving a mapping to another slide leaves its previous object on the old slide. Text replacement consumes its placeholder, so the placeholder must exist again for another replacement.
Save a copy before exporting into an important presentation. Cancellation or failure can leave partial changes in an active presentation; there is no automatic rollback.
Choose an output folder #
Use the workbook’s folder or browse to another folder. Save a new workbook before using its folder. Local folders, locally synced OneDrive folders, mapped drives and UNC shares can be used when they are available and writable.
For a workbook opened through a SharePoint or OneDrive web URL, choose an explicit local or synced output folder and an absolute local template path. Download online-only files before using them.
