Choose a paste type #
- Picture: export a range, table, chart or shape as an image. The picture cannot be edited as an Excel chart in PowerPoint.
- Editable chart: export an Excel chart as a chart you can edit in PowerPoint. This mode requires a chart source.
- Linked chart: export a chart with a link to its source workbook. This mode also requires a chart source and a saved workbook.
For linked charts, open the workbook from a local, synced or network path. A SharePoint or OneDrive web URL cannot serve as the native chart-link source. Keep the source accessible if you need PowerPoint to update the link later.
Adjust placement #
Enter the slide number and optional Left, Top, Height and Width values. Blank dimensions use automatic placement. Keep object proportions controls whether resizing preserves the width-to-height relationship. Changing this setting applies it to all object rows.
Export again #
Set Export = Yes on the rows you want, then select Export. The add-in checks the setup first and reports input issues by row. New or template exports create another output file; active-presentation exports modify the open deck.
