Chat Merge turns a table of contacts in Excel into personal chat messages. You write one message with placeholders such as {Name} and {Amount}, check a live preview for each row, and open a ready-to-send chat for every person with one click. You press Send in WhatsApp yourself, so every message is one you have seen.
Chat Merge is free: no account, no license key and no usage limits. It works in Excel on Windows, Mac and the web with Microsoft 365 or Excel 2021 and later, and needs no macros. The getting started guide takes you from the sample contacts to your first chat in a few minutes.
What you need #
- A table in Excel with one row per person, a header row and a column with phone numbers.
- WhatsApp on your phone or computer, or a browser where you can open WhatsApp Web. Chat Merge opens WhatsApp’s own chat page by default, so nothing else has to be installed.
Your data #
Your contacts stay in your workbook. Chat Merge has no account, no analytics and no tracking, and the pane makes no call to our servers. The pane loads its code from addins.pythonandvba.com and Microsoft’s Office script, and nothing from your workbook goes with those requests. When you open a chat, the phone number and the message are part of the address of the chat page that opens, so WhatsApp receives them under its own terms. We never see them. See Where is my data? and the privacy policy.
