Send messages people expect, using a mobile plan that permits the intended use. Content and timing advice cannot guarantee delivery or prevent a carrier restriction.
1. Say why you are texting #
Identify yourself and give the relevant information. For example: Hi Sarah, Anna from the clinic here. Your appointment is Friday at 10 am. Reply STOP to opt out.
2. Choose a suitable pace #
Check the carrier’s limits and leave time to review results and replies. The workbook’s delay setting controls timing; it is not a safe-rate guarantee.
3. Check unlimited-plan terms #
Unlimited texting does not mean every automated or business use is permitted. Destination, roaming and multipart SMS rules may also apply.
4. Make replies useful #
Ask a relevant question when a reply helps. Informational messages do not need a question just to create activity.
5. Use relevant personalization #
Use {{first_name|there}} for a name or fallback. Spintext uses [[Hi|Hello|Hey]]; each choice is random and can repeat. Neither feature guarantees delivery.
6. Use recognizable links #
Include a link only when it helps, and use a recognizable address. Explain what the recipient will find there.
7. Write clearly #
Avoid misleading claims, unnecessary urgency and excessive capitals. A keyword checker is a writing aid, not a view of private carrier rules.
8. Honor opt-outs #
Check replies and remove anyone who asks to stop from future sends. Keep your consent and opt-out records current.
Before continuing #
Test with a consenting recipient, review the result and stop if the carrier restricts sending. Contact the carrier before trying again.
