No file? No problem. Copy cells in any spreadsheet app – Excel, Google Sheets in the browser, LibreOffice, Numbers – switch to Excel2JSON and click Paste data (or press Ctrl+V).
What happens to the pasted text #
- The clipboard’s table structure is detected automatically: tab-separated (what spreadsheets copy), or comma/semicolon/pipe-delimited text.
- Quoted fields are respected, including quotes and line breaks inside them.
- Values are typed conservatively: numbers become numbers, but ID-like values with leading zeros and locale decimals like
1,5stay text until you say otherwise with a column type.
From there it is the same flow #
The pasted table lands in the grid like a file would: select the range, pick a layout, copy or save. Pasting again replaces the data.
One nuance for the free tier: the 10 free conversions are counted per loaded source, so converting the same pasted table five times with different options costs one conversion, not five.
