1.0.0 (2026) #
The first release.
- One pane for everything. Choose Old and New, press Compare, and get counts, a list you can filter by clicking a count, and a click to jump to the cell.
- Rows are matched by an ID column that Table Compare finds by itself, a single column or two together, with row order as the fallback. Inserted, deleted and re-sorted rows do not show up as changes.
- Columns with different names are paired by their values, for example Item No with SKU.
- Sources can be Excel tables, sheets, a selection or a file from your computer (.xlsx, .xlsm, .xls, .csv). Keep a copy in this workbook makes a file’s data a sheet that can be highlighted and linked.
- Report sheet with a summary tab and a Cell changes tab, one row per changed cell with the numeric difference and the change in percent.
- Highlight in my sheets with conditional formats, and Remove highlights to restore your sheets exactly.
- Copy these rows to a new sheet for new or missing rows.
- Options that prevent false differences: extra spaces, upper and lower case, leading zeros, a tolerance for numbers, columns to compare and column pairs. Each option has a short explanation behind its question mark.
- Compare again re-reads both sources with the saved setup, and your options carry over to new tables with the same column names.
- Three sample data sets (a price list, order lines and a customer list), and a free version with every feature for tables of up to 200 rows.
