Yes. DatePop works in:
- Excel on Windows with Microsoft 365, Excel 2021 or Excel 2024.
- Excel on Mac with Microsoft 365 or Excel 2021 and later.
- Excel on the web in a current browser (Edge, Chrome, Firefox or Safari).
The pane looks and behaves the same on all three. A workbook that uses DatePop dates, calendars and date fields opens on the others, because everything DatePop makes is ordinary cells, number formats and data validation. Keep Excel updated: newer builds support the add-in platform best.
Platform notes #
- Exporting events: on Excel for the web the .ics file downloads directly. On Windows and Mac the file opens in your default browser, on a page that downloads it. See Export events to Outlook or Google Calendar.
- Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+Alt+Shift+D on Windows and Command+Option+Shift+D on Mac insert today’s date. The mouse works everywhere.
- Excel on the web: if the pane stays empty after opening, reload the browser tab. Private windows and strict tracking protection can block the add-in’s storage; try a normal window.
- Language: the pane follows the display language of Office when DatePop has it (English, German, Spanish, French and Portuguese for Brazil).
No macros are involved, so nothing needs to be enabled in Excel’s security settings. Older versions such as Excel 2019 and 2016 cannot run the add-in.
If something does not work on your setup, contact support with the diagnostic info from the pane’s About page.
