This guide is for the QuickText Excel workbook. Have your Windows computer, Android phone with an SMS-capable SIM, and license key ready.

1. Pair your phone and computer #
- Install KDE Connect on Windows and Android, then open it on both devices. Connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Select your phone in KDE Connect on Windows and click Pair. Accept the pairing request on your phone.
- On Android, open the paired device in KDE Connect and grant the permissions requested by Send SMS, including phone and SMS permissions.
2. Prepare QuickText #
- Download the ZIP from your welcome email and extract it. Right-click the extracted workbook, choose Properties, and select Unblock if available, then Apply.
- Open the workbook in Excel and click Enable Content if prompted.
- On Settings, paste your license key without extra spaces. Click Connect your phone and confirm that the device is paired and reachable before continuing.
3. Send your first SMS #
- Open Message List. Clear the example send list, then enter one number you control in Receiver, including its country code, and a short message in Text Message.
- Click Send Messages, review the send overview, and confirm the send.
- Check your phone’s SMS app and the receiving phone. “Transmitted” means QuickText passed the message to your phone; it does not confirm delivery to the recipient.
After restarting, open KDE Connect on both devices on the same network, reopen QuickText, and use Connect your phone again. You do not need to pair the devices again unless the pairing was removed.

- Buttons not working or nothing happens when you click? Macros might be disabled in your Excel settings, follow this guide.
