Read and reply through the KDE Connect SMS app on Windows. This is separate from the QuickText workbook.
Video walkthrough #
- Keep KDE Connect running on your paired Android phone and computer, connected to the same network. The phone must be reachable.
- In the Windows system tray, right-click the KDE Connect icon. You may need to open the hidden-icons arrow first.
- Open your phone’s submenu and choose SMS Messages….
- Select a conversation, enter your reply, and send it. The reply goes through your phone and its mobile plan.
If conversations do not appear, check that KDE Connect has permission to read and send SMS on Android. If the phone is disconnected, follow the connection troubleshooting guide first.
