- Ask questions without selecting cells first. A context chip above the message box shows what goes with your question: Auto, Selection, Active sheet, Workbook or None.
- XLlama now sees your workbook’s sheet names, tables and column headers with every question.
- More reliable answers: dates, percentages and error values reach the model the way Excel shows them, hidden and filtered rows are skipped by default, Excel tables keep their header row, and large data is no longer silently cut off.
- New Context size setting (Auto, 8K, 16K, 32K, 64K). Max cells per question is now Auto by default, and the theme can follow Windows.
- PROMPT and EXTRACT return plain-text answers with consistent results and clearer error messages. Existing formula cells regenerate once after updating; on Free this uses monthly responses.
- Answers show tokens, speed and context use. Stop keeps the partial answer, Regenerate repeats the last answer, and Escape stops a running answer.
- Clearer messages when Excel does not respond in time or Ollama does not have enough memory.
- Free now includes 20 AI responses per local month, shared by chat and new formula answers (was 50). The five-formula-cell workbook limit and Pro are unchanged.

1.0.0 — First Windows installer release #
- An optional IT deployment ZIP includes per-user install/removal scripts, payload verification and prerequisite checks. The regular EXE remains the main download.
- Draft questions recover after restarting Excel. Failed requests offer Retry with the original captured attachment, or explicitly ask to reattach data.
- Completed answers stay usable if saving fails, with Save again and export actions.
- The composer shows selected ranges and cell counts before sending. Worksheet tools can refresh only selected formula answers.
- Chat supports separate Ctrl-selected ranges, with a saved choice of compact tables or A1 cell references. Cells between ranges are excluded.
- Large selections trim empty edges and offer Send all data, a clearly labeled sample, sending without cells, or canceling. Full data is sent without shortening, with reading progress and a Stop button. Very large attachments must be reattached for follow-ups.
- Insert formula previews the formula, workbook, sheet and destination before applying a working Excel formula.
- Removing a license key asks for confirmation and explains that only this computer changes to Free.
- Local Ollama chat with streamed Markdown answers and saved conversations.
