Your license covers a fixed number of devices. To move it to a new computer, free the slot of the old one and add the key on the new one.
Steps #
- On the old computer, if you still have it: open More options > License on a chart and click Remove key. This frees the device slot.
- If the old computer is gone, or Remove key could not reach the license server: sign in to your account with the email address you bought with, and remove the old device from the list.
- On the new computer, add SimpleGantt to Excel (see Install SimpleGantt) and sign in with the same Microsoft account if you installed it from the store.
- Open More options > License, paste your key and click Add key.
Your workbooks #
Nothing to move. Charts, their settings and baselines are stored in the workbooks, so they open on the new computer exactly as before.
Trial and free version #
The trial is tied to the device where it started. A new computer without a key runs the free version after its own trial.
