Yes. SimpleGantt works in:
- Excel on Windows with Microsoft 365 or Excel 2021 and later.
- Excel on Mac with Microsoft 365 or Excel 2021 and later.
- Excel on the web in a current browser (Edge, Chrome, Firefox or Safari).
A chart made on one platform opens and stays live on the others. Keep Excel updated: newer builds support the add-in platform best, and a few features, such as placing a vector picture in the sheet, need a recent Excel.
Platform notes #
- Excel on the web: exports are downloaded by your browser. The chart frame can reload when Excel re-creates it; it shows the last picture at once and then goes live again.
- Excel on Windows and Mac: for PowerPoint, PDF, Print, PNG and HTML exports, SimpleGantt opens the chart as a snapshot page in your default browser, where one click makes and saves the file.
- Mac: if copying an image to the clipboard is blocked, SimpleGantt shows the image in the chart frame, where you right-click it to copy or save it.
SimpleGantt does not support Excel on iPad or iPhone.
