The fastest way to show the plan to someone: copy the chart as an image and paste it into an email, a Teams chat or a document. Both image exports are part of the free version.
Copy image #
- Point at the chart and click Export, then Copy image.
- Paste it wherever you need it with Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on a Mac).
The image shows the whole chart as drawn (its time scale and theme), with the chart’s footnotes under it, at twice the screen resolution, so it stays sharp on high resolution displays and in print. If your Excel does not let the add-in write to the clipboard (this happens on some Mac and browser setups), SimpleGantt shows the image in the chart frame instead: right-click it and choose Copy image.
Download PNG #
Export > Download PNG saves the whole plan as one PNG file, including rows you would have to scroll to in the frame. In Excel on the web your browser downloads it. In Excel for Windows and Mac the chart opens in your browser, where Download PNG saves the file; for a plan too large to open that way, the image shows in the frame to save with a right-click. A very long plan gives a smaller image; use Download PDF for those.
The badge #
Charts made in the free version carry a small “Made with SimpleGantt” badge, on the sheet and in both images. Charts made with a license, or during a trial that is still running, have no badge.
