The live chart is an add-in frame. Some situations need a plain picture on the sheet instead: printing the sheet with Excel’s print command, or a reader whose Excel cannot load add-ins. Placing a picture is a Pro feature (included in the trial).
Steps #
- Point at the chart and click Export, then Place picture in sheet.
- SimpleGantt inserts a picture of the whole chart to the right of your plan’s data, top aligned. Move and resize it like any picture.
Good to know #
- The picture is a snapshot. It does not follow the table; place a new one after changes and delete the old one.
- It is a vector graphic in the light, print-friendly colors, so it stays sharp when printed or scaled. Where Excel does not accept vector pictures from add-ins, SimpleGantt places a sharp image instead and says so.
- On a protected sheet SimpleGantt cannot insert pictures and says so. Unprotect the sheet first.
- Excel versions too old to place pictures from add-ins show a message; use Download PNG and insert the file instead.
