When you send a photo or video with a message, SendCommander normally sends two things: your text first, then the photo as its own message. With Put the message under the first photo (one bubble), each person gets a single message instead, with your text as the caption of the first photo or video. This is an optional Pro feature and it is off by default.
Turn it on #
- On Compose, attach at least one photo or video with Photo or video. The option appears below the attach buttons.
- Tick Put the message under the first photo (one bubble).
- Check the line under the attach buttons and the preview. With the option ticked, the line says that everyone gets one message with your text under the photo or video, and the preview shows a photo stand-in above your text. Then check the review and send as usual.

Any further photos and your documents follow as separate messages, in the usual order.
Why it needs the backup sending engine #
This option uses SendCommander’s backup sending engine, the one that takes over when WhatsApp changes its layout. See When WhatsApp changes. It needs the WhatsApp screen to say Connected. If you are connected, nothing else is required.
When your message goes first as usual #
SendCommander falls back to the usual order, with your message as its own bubble first, and does not lose anything, when:
- the backup engine is not ready on that page,
- your message is longer than 1,024 characters,
- the message is empty, or you are sending to a WhatsApp group,
- the caption message could not be started.
When this happens for some people, the finished card tells you how many received the usual two messages. A message is never sent twice. If it is unclear whether a caption message went out, the person is marked Check in WhatsApp and is not tried again. See When WhatsApp changes.
Good to know #
- Cautious sending limits apply as they do for any message with a file.
- The option applies to the first photo or video only. A document cannot carry the caption.
- Switch the option off again at any time to go back to the usual order.
