Getting started

This guide gets SendCommander installed and ready to send. It takes a few minutes, and you only do it once.

Step 1: Download the installer #

Get the latest version from the official download page: pythonandvba.com/go/sendcommander-download.

Save the file (for example SendCommander-Setup-1.0.0.exe) to your Downloads folder.

Step 2: Run the installer #

Open your Downloads folder and double-click the .exe file.

Step 3: Get past the “Windows protected your PC” screen #

Windows may show a blue Windows protected your PC screen. This is normal. It appears for any app that is not signed with a paid Microsoft certificate, and it does not mean the file is unsafe.

1. Click More info (label 1 in the screenshot).
2. Click Run anyway (label 2 in the screenshot).

Step 4: Finish the installation #

The installer opens. Click Next through each screen, accept the defaults, and click Install, then Finish. A shortcut is added to your Start menu and your desktop.

Step 5: Connect your WhatsApp #

1. Open SendCommander from the Start menu and accept the license agreement on first launch.
2. Open the WhatsApp screen in the left sidebar.
3. On your phone, open WhatsApp, tap Linked devices, then Link a device, and scan the QR code shown in the app.
4. The status turns green: Connected. You are logged in to WhatsApp and ready to send.

Step 6: Add your contacts #

Open the Contacts page and import your people from a CSV or Excel file. A good first step is to add yourself, so you can send yourself a test message.

Step 7: Send your first message #

Open the Send page, write your message, preview it, and send. You can send up to 20 messages a day for free.
