When someone answers a message you sent from QuickText, the reply lands on the Replies page. Each person gets one conversation: the list on the left, the whole exchange with the selected person on the right, and a box at the bottom to write back.
Only replies to numbers this PC has texted are kept. Everything else your phone receives is dropped without being saved. See Privacy and your phone for exactly what QuickText reads.
When replies arrive #
Replies come in while QuickText is running and your phone is connected. If your phone was away, or QuickText was closed, it catches up the next time the two reconnect, so nothing is lost as long as the message is still on the phone.
A new reply announces itself in three places: the Replies entry in the sidebar shows the unread count, the taskbar button flashes with the same number, and a Windows notification opens the page when you click it. Both notifications can be switched off under Settings > Replies.
Work through a conversation #
- Unread conversations are bold with a count. Selecting one while the page is open marks it read.
- Search matches the number, the name and the text of the replies, and the Show box narrows the list to All, Unread or Opt-outs. A date range is there for older exchanges.
- Write back in the box at the bottom: type your answer and press Send, or Ctrl and Enter together. Enter alone makes a new line. The message goes out through your phone like any other, so it counts against your plan and your free messages, and it appears in History with your phone’s confirmation. With more than one phone paired, it leaves through the phone that is in use, which is not always the one the reply arrived on.
- Note, block, unblock and delete sit in the header above the exchange, and in the right-click menu of any conversation. Your note about a person shows everywhere that person appears, including History and Contacts.
- Export writes the shown conversations to an Excel or CSV file, one line per reply.
What happens on STOP #
Someone who replies STOP, or a clear equivalent like END, UNSUBSCRIBE or ABMELDEN, is added to your block list automatically and skipped from that moment on, even in a send that is already running. The conversation shows why the number was blocked.
Softer answers (“not interested”, “wrong number”) are only flagged for you to look at, never blocked automatically. If QuickText read something the wrong way, click Not an opt-out and the flag disappears; Unblock undoes an automatic block in one click.
The words themselves are yours to change. Open Settings > Replies > Stop words to see every built-in word by language, switch one off (useful if you get “see you at the end of the week” a lot), or add your own.

Turn replies off completely #
Under Settings > Replies, unticking Keep the replies people send back makes QuickText drop every incoming text without looking at who sent it. The Replies page stays empty, no automatic blocking happens, and no notifications appear. Anything already saved stays until you delete it.
Automatic blocking on STOP is on by default and worth keeping on: honouring an opt-out is expected everywhere, and a block can always be undone in one click.
