On your own PC. SheetCourier has no server in the middle of your emails.
What stays on your PC #
- Your Excel and CSV files are read on your PC each time you send. They are never uploaded.
- Your contacts (names, email addresses, companies, notes and fields you add) are stored in the database on this PC. They are never uploaded.
- Everything SheetCourier keeps (contacts and lists, mailings, sending history, the “Don’t email” list, email accounts and settings) is in one folder, SheetCourier in your Windows user folder (Settings, Open data folder opens it), with a safety copy taken each day you open SheetCourier (the last 7 of them). To go back to one of them, open Settings, Backup, Restore from a backup… and pick the day.
- Passwords and app passwords are stored encrypted, readable only by your Windows account.
- Uninstalling SheetCourier keeps this folder, so your contacts and history are still there if you install it again. To remove everything, click Delete all local app data under Delete local app data in Settings before you uninstall.
How your emails are sent #
Straight from your PC through your own email account: Gmail and other providers directly, Outlook on this PC through Outlook itself. I never see your emails, your list or the addresses you send to.
What reaches my server #
- The license check: your license key, the name of your PC and the app version.
- Anonymous usage statistics from the Microsoft Store version: a random install id, the app version and a few totals such as how many emails were sent, never names, addresses or email text. Turn them off in Settings, Privacy, Share anonymous usage statistics.
- Messages you send me through the support form, with diagnostics only if you include them.
The full details are in the SheetCourier privacy policy.
