A list is a group of your contacts, like Customers, Newsletter or Workshop 2026. You send a mailing to one or more lists. One person can be in several lists, and they still get only one email per mailing.
Create a list #
- On the Contacts page, click New list at the bottom of the lists on the left. SheetCourier asks “What should the new list be called?”. Type a name and click Make the list.
- Or let the import make one: in the last step of an import, pick a new list under Add everyone to a list. See Import contacts from Excel or CSV.
The lists on the left show how many people are in each, plus All contacts and Unsubscribed (everyone in your contacts who is on the “Don’t email” list, for any reason).
Put people in a list or take them out #
- Select people in the grid, click Add to list and pick the list, or pick New list… to make a new list with them.
- Open a list, select people and click Remove from this list. They stay in your contacts.
- Or open one person and tick or untick their lists.
The list menu #
Each list has a menu: click the … button next to the list, or right-click the list. It offers:
- Rename.
- Send an email to this list: starts a new mailing to it. See Send to a contact list.
- Export this list: saves its people as an Excel or CSV file.
- Delete list.
Delete a list #
SheetCourier asks, for example “Delete the list “Customers”?”, and what should happen to the people in it:
- Delete the list only (contacts stay): the people stay in your contacts and in their other lists.
- Delete the list and the 240 contacts that are in no other list (with your number): people who are also in another list stay. This choice only appears when some people are in no other list.
A mailing that used the deleted list can’t be sent until you pick another list. Step 1 of the mailing says so: “The list “Customers” was deleted, so SheetCourier doesn’t know who should get this email. Pick another list.”
