SheetCourier can attach a different file to each email, for example each customer’s invoice PDF or each student’s certificate. The files sit in one folder, and a column of your list names each person’s file.
Prepare your list and folder #
- Put all files in one folder, for example Documents\Invoices.
- Add a column to your list with each person’s file name, for example Invoice with “Invoice-1043.pdf”. Several files for one person can go in one cell, separated by a semicolon (;).
Set it up #
- In step 2, Your message, click Attachment on the Insert bar and choose A different file for each person….
- Column with the file name: pick the column, for example Invoice.
- Folder with the files: click Pick folder and choose the folder.
- When a person’s file is missing: Ask me in the Check step, Skip that person or Send the email without the file.
- Click Add the files.
Under Attachments it now says “Each person’s own file: the file name is in the column “Invoice”, in the folder …”. The Preview shows each person’s file next to Attached.
The same file for everyone #
To attach one file to every email, for example a price list, click Attachment and choose The same file for everyone….
Size limits #
Email providers accept emails up to a certain size: about 25 MB for Gmail, Yahoo and AOL, and about 20 MB for most others. Attachments grow by about a third when sent. SheetCourier checks every email before sending and tells you if one is too big. If files are missing, see Attachments not found.
