The Check step or the result lists people whose attachment could not be found. Here is what each message means.
“This person’s attachment Invoice-1043.pdf isn’t in the attachment folder” #
The file name in that person’s row does not match a file in the folder. Check:
- The spelling, including the extension: “Invoice-1043.pdf”, not “Invoice-1043”.
- That the file is in the folder you picked, not in a subfolder.
- Several files in one cell are separated by a semicolon (;).
Then click Check again. In the Check step you can also answer Skip this person or Send without the attachment.
“This person has no file name in the “Invoice” column” #
The cell is empty. Fill it in your list, or let that person get the email without a file.
The folder or column is gone #
- “The folder for each person’s attachment (“Invoices”) can’t be found. Pick the folder again.” The folder was moved or renamed. Edit the attachment and click Pick folder again.
- “Your list has no column called … any more”: the column was renamed in Excel. Pick the column again.
- “The attachment … can’t be found” (the same file for everyone): pick the file again.
A file is too big #
Email providers accept emails up to about 25 MB (Gmail, Yahoo, AOL) or 20 MB (most others), and attachments grow by about a third when sent. Make the file smaller, zip it, or share it with a link instead.
The provider refused the file #
Some file types, like programs and scripts, are blocked by email providers. Zip the file or send a different file type.
