Your table looks right in the SheetCourier preview and in Gmail, but different in Outlook for Windows: columns are wider or narrower, a color is missing, or text wraps.
Why it happens #
Outlook for Windows draws emails with Word instead of a web browser, and Word supports only part of what emails can do. SheetCourier writes tables that Outlook handles well, but some details still look a little different there.
Fixes #
- Need an exact copy? Edit the Excel table and choose Picture in the email (looks exactly like Excel, charts too). Everyone sees exactly what Excel shows, including charts and conditional formatting. It needs Excel on your PC, and people can’t copy numbers out of a picture.
- Colors from conditional formatting are missing? When the table is read without Excel, those colors and Excel table styles are left out. Picture in the email keeps them.
- Too wide? Hide columns you don’t need in Excel and tick Leave out rows and columns that are hidden in Excel, or send it as a PDF or Excel attachment. Wide tables also need sideways scrolling on phones.
- Very long? Tables over 500 rows, or very large ones, belong in an attachment. Gmail may cut off very large emails.
